Promoting agricultural products with EU funding programmes
The European Commission is co-funding initiatives to boost European agricultural products, raising awareness on EU farm products worldwide!
In late December 2024 AGRIP’s 2025 Promotion policy work programme was adopted. The work programme allocates €132 million to promote sustainable and high-quality agri-food products (€63.4 million for promotion in non-EU markets) and €58.6 million (for promotion in EU-markets).
The main regions and countries identified by the work programme include China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, North America and the UK – which still qualifies as the main export destination for EU agri-food pruducts.
The initiative is divided in SIMPLE and MULTI programmes, the main differences are the following:
- SIMPLE
- The proposal can be submitted by one or more proposing organisation from the same EU country
- The programme is managed by national authorities
- MULTI
- The proposal can be submitted by one or more EU organisation
- The programme is managed by REA
A large selection of product is eligible, spanning from bee, wine and spirit drinks with a protected geographical indication, bread, pastry and baker’s wares, pasta, fisheries and so on.
AGRIP provides to potential candidats an Eligibility Checker which helps clarify if the initiative is eligible for the call for proposals by asking a set of questions on the product, promoter organisation and the target market.
The call is opened since 22 January 2025 until 23 April 2025 and all applications must be submitted via Funding & Tenders.
An EU info day will take place in Brussels and online on 29 and 30 January, where all information about the eligibility criteria, funding opportunities and application process and proposals evaluation will be provided.
