Join the 2025 Cleantech Conference on 8 April 2025

The Competitiveness Compass was presented in January 2025 with the aim of charting a clear course for the EU. Following Draghi’s report, it focuses on ensuring sustainable growth and prosperity within the EU’s social and economic landscape.

As the EU faces growing challenges such as climate change and the increasing influence of artificial intelligence in our daily lives, the European Commission is committed to boosting European businesses, enabling them to thrive in the global marketplace and compete effectively on the world stage.

The expected outcomes of the EU Competitiveness Compass include:

  • Boosting €470 billion in additional funding that European companies could raise from a more integrated capital market
  • Achieving approximately €37.5 billion in potential annual savings for EU companies through simplification measures
  • Creating 500.000 new jobs in the European circular economy by 2030

Under this framework, the forthcoming Cleantech Conference will take place in a hybrid format in Brussels (Charlemagne building, Rue de la Loi 170) and online on April 8, 2025. The event will explore the possibilities and scenarios related to the forthcoming Clean Industrial Deal and its role in steering Europe toward its desired path, with a particular focus on the EU’s transition to a net-zero economy and the investments needed for decarbonization.

The conference will also examine insights gained from initiatives like the Innovation Fund, highlighting the links between decarbonization and innovation and positioning the EU as a leader in the race toward climate neutrality.

Registration for onsite participation is currently open and will close on March 24, 2025.
