CINEA’s 2025 Annual Work Programme
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has recently published their work plan for 2025, including the agency’s goals for Key Performance Indicators.
CINEA has €8.68 billion in commitments and €6.68 billion in payments. 3000 payments will be made, including to the 600 winning proposals among the total 3500 proposals that will be evaluated this year. Additionally, 40 new calls for tenders will be launched across the seven well-known funding programmes:
- Horizon Europe;
- Innovation Fund;
- CEF (Connecting Europe Facility)
- LIFE (Programme for the Environment and Climate Action);
- EMFAR (European Maritime, Fisheries, Aquaculture Fund);
- RENEWFM (Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism);
- JTM (Just Transition Mechanism).
90 million Europeans are aimed to be reached though CINEA’s communication channels, from social media over regular publications to hosted events, such as:
- European Sustainable Energy Week;
- EU Hydrogen Week;
- European Maritime Days;
- PCI Energy Days.
With CEF-Transport coming to an end, the 260 last proposals that were submitted in January will be evaluated, with an estimated 95 potential winners among them, the implementation of those and previous winning proposals will continue to be monitored until completion. CEF-AFIF and CEF-Energy will continue in line with the multiannual work programme. CEF-Energy will see an estimated 30 winners among the 60 submitted proposals, and the upcoming calls for this year will have a combined €850 million budget available.
Horizon Europe will see 1625 proposals evaluated with an estimated 124 winning proposals among them, the calls for tender for funding opportunities and procurement under the Horizon Europe programme this year will have an estimated total budget of €1.69 billion
The Innovation Fund will see an estimated 105 winning proposals among the total 450 submitted ones. The current calls that will close in 2025 under the programme will have an estimated budget of €4.6 billion.
The remaining programmes will see the following number of winners and upcoming budgets:
- LIFE: 185/1000 winning proposals, with the next budget not yet being determined;
- EMFAF: 20/42 winning proposals, with an upcoming total budget of €54.7 million;
- RENEWFM: 15/25 winning proposals, with €40 million upcoming budget;
- JTM: 10/25 winning proposals, with €1.3 billion of funding for the next call.
